As we approach Christmas, we pause to reflect on a year of energy and grace.

These twelve months have been filled with setting direction, welcoming writers into our community, discerning our format, strengthening old and new partnerships, and bridging time zones that span 13 hours and all the distances in between.

It has been a time of faith and great hope.

What has sustained us through it all is the remarkable generosity we’ve encountered at every turn.

Time and again, people have said “yes” to Flashes’ vision and offered their talents, time and trust.

In these responses, we see Mary’s “yes” at the Annunciation alive and active in the Church today, continuing to animate the Body of Christ.

As we celebrate Jesus becoming one with us, we’re grateful for all who have made Flashes of Insight possible: writers, partners, and especially the readers.

May this Christmas bring you the peace and joy of knowing that God’s Spirit continues to engage with the world through discerning minds and hearts.

Flashes of Insight will be back in the first week of February 2026.
